Our Heritage

We've been in business for so long that if you're originally from the locality, it's easily possible that we escorted your parents on their big day!

Established in 1958 by Jack Yates, we were originally motor repair specialists, but in the late 1970's incorporated Rolls-Royce wedding car hire into our business.

We have a deep-seated passion for these wonderful motor cars and, over the years, have rescued and carefully restored each of our vehicles, usually from very sorry states.

We've spent almost half a century building our Rolls-Royce fleet and have some wonderfully unique examples, including Eric Morecambe's first Rolls-Royce and John Steed's Phantom I from 'The Avengers' TV series (The Phantom I is currently unavailable for hire).

Our Wedding Cars

Rolls Royce 2025HP

1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25hp

A beautiful Park Ward formal limousine with separated driver's compartment

Originally built for a wealty diamond merchant and trimmed in light-brown leather and plush lamb's wool rugs, this lovely vehicle has been a part of our fleet for over twenty years.

The quintessential classic motor car for a very special day.

Rolls Royce 2025HP

1969 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I

Completely orignal and built to US federal safety standards (rare for this model), this gorgeous motor car is immaculate and finished in pure gleaming white with red leather interior.

This was the first of our fleet and holds a special place in our hearts. It's hard to imagine that this vehicle wasn't built specifically for weddings!

Rolls Royce 2025HP

1965 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III

This five-seater saloon, usually seating three in the rear, is one of the last of this model ever produced and boasts, arguably, the most beautiful of Rolls-Royce coach work.

Restored by ourselves in the late 1980's to it's former glory after living in a barn for decades, this stunning motor car has a beige leather interior and is unsurpassed in elegance and style.

This particular vehicle can be seen in the opening sequence of "The 39 Steps".

Rolls Royce 2025HP

'Eric' 1971 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I

We found this car rotting in a scrap heap in Srewsbury, completely by chance. Imagine our surprise when it was confirmed to have been Eric Morecambe's first Rolls Royce!

Originally custom-built for Eric, it includes some special features that he requested, including an ashtray in the dashboard for his cigars, and leather inserts into the carpets to prevent him getting the car muddy after a day’s birdwatching!
